WOW! Congrats! I think I have a couple of little things. I do have a couple of projects I need to make as well--one is all cut out and ready to sew (a lap quilt for my mom); other one is a stocking for my newest granddaughter (almost 5 months)-waiting on mommy picking the fabric!

LMBO!! that is what I thought too. I haven't even thought about Xmas yet, and around my family, no one can even give ideas of what they might like to have. Last year I had two of the "young adult" grands go online to stores of their choise and make a wish list onsite. Had one son do that also. Sure made shopping for them easier, I got what they liked, but they didn't know what was coming.

Keep your eyes open for after Christmas fabric sales. I stock up on 50% or more Christmas fabrics and make draw strig gift bags for under the tree. I've probably saved a couple of trees from being made into wrapping paper already.

Kim, I do the same thing............gifts stored in chest of drawers so I have them on hand when the needd arises. I think we are
smart to do this.

We don't do alot of Christmas shopping because almost all of the grandkids want money! I give them gift cards or cash. The little ones are easier to buy for and I'm making some things for them. Quilts, purses for the girls and memory boards for the older ones. We've asked the adult kids not to buy us anything and we usually give them a restuarant card.

Lucky you! I do plan on making a few things this year for gifts. The older kids are past the toys, so CD's, perfume, makeup are pretty easy to get. The grandkids are tougher - still want toys but they don't really have room for a ton of stuff...and the oldest GS is almost 12 - sort of in between toys and other stuff.....DH and I don't usually get each other much - we finished our basement this past year, so that was Merry Xmas to us!! Both our studios are in the basement - my sewing studio and his music studio).....although both of us usually "cheat" and get each other a little something!

Good for you! I started putting things on layaway way back in the spring. I have all of DGS's presents bought and most of DGS's bought. I have most everything bought for my DD's also. I need to buy things for hubby and younger DD's boyfriend.

I am not fond of Kmart, but they still have layaway with out restrictions, so I have used it quite often.

I did all my shopping early one year. I ended up forgetting what I had gotten or where I had hidden it. So now, I wait a little closer to the date.
