Blocking
Worked my fingers to the bone to get the binding handsewn over the last couple of days and get it washed for Christmas. It came out soft and crinkly, looks like it's antique. I know that I should have washed and blocked it if I want to show it but, I wanted it dried so that I could give it to my daughter now. I figure I can take it back, wash it, then block it flat after I sew a sleeve on the back.
I just love how this looks and feels. Close-up pictures, warts and all.

Here's about blocking a quilt, one that has the binding on and one before binding. I have always done it before binding but I just wanted to get this quilt completed. I have two 4'x8' sheets of the pink insulation board that I lay out to do it.
