Hi Snoflak, if you go to the Quilters Cache website, you will find many patterns including the double wedding ring.

Sharlene Jorgensen has a double wedding ring template set that makes it a little easier. Not sure if the pieces you have sewn together are the right size for the arc template, but it also includes templates for the background and melon pieces for rotary cutting.

I'm with you - I don't even think you have to make them into any recognisable pattern. Just arrange them so that they look balanced and I'm sure you will be happy with your result.

You can go here and there are several patterns to choose from. Hope it helps can't wait to see it once it's done! I love the wedding ring quilts. Have been debating on making one or if it is too hard to do. I've only made 2 quilts so far.

Just the one arc you showed us has such amazing fabrics in it. Do you have any idea how old the fabrics are? What a treasure.

I have made quilts without patterns, but I don't think the DWR is one to make without a pattern for the first time!
John Flynn has a pattern with templates and so does Eleanor Burns, Quilt in a Day. There are many books with DWR quilt patterns. I love the feedsacks in this photo! Trying not to be jealous!
You are right, the hardest part is done.
