The animal stories are sooo cute! My lil dog doesn't like being in my sewing room much but has to be in my lap in the livingroom if I'm working!
Can't wait to see the end project! Thats a lot of squares!!

Actually I did have a Simon as well and they were brothers. Simon left us a few years ago and I still miss him. So does Schu.

He's a sweetie, sitting in the window looking out.

My Merlin sits on the window sill and waits for me to drive up and I can see his mouth moving with his demanding meows to get in the house and get dinner ready. When he sees me get out of the car he goes to the kitchen and waits until I come in the back door and that's everyone's cue that Mom's home. His sister comes out and the dog wakes up.

I wonder how the rubber glove would work with dog hair?

I am so sorry. I just lost my beloved avatar kitty this month. He wasn't even 5 years old. We think he had a bad heart (very common in Maine Coon and vet heard a murmer last year). Thankfully he gave no signs of being ill and did not suffer at all. He appeared to have died quietly in his sleep and appeared completely fine and normal the day before. It is so hard and heart breaking when they leave us but I have faith I will see them again.

I have two very special cats that just know for a fact that I have made a special place for them on either side of my sewing machine. they are not happy until they are in the sewing room, stretched out on each side of teh table while I am sewing. Occasionally, they will wake up and come over to get kitty cuddles while I am in there, nd then they go back to sleep. Cats are so special, but dogs are also. I just think cats get more affectionate when they are ready to give their love.
