woohoo I have my next block finished. I have been sewing in one hour blocks today, 1 hour of sewing and then 1 hour of sorting and setting up my new sewing room. It's starting to come together. (had better get it finished before DH comes home, don't want him having a heart attack when he sees the stash)
Does anybody find projects they forget they started or had even sewn, just asking, its not me its not really

Beautiful block, Mirab-I love that pale blue. Your quilt is going to be so pretty. And yes, when I clean my sewing room ( I believe the last time was in 1999 LOL) I found things that I didn't remember. That's why my PC quilt has some really strange fabrics--did I buy those? Glad you're back in the sewing room.

Mirabelle--your blocks are very pretty. I like the little stars sneaking in on your 2nd one.
I haven't been quilting too long yet so haven't forgotten any projects I've bought, however I do wonder how they can add up so fast! This month has been very productive though in the quilting dept...one quilt and table topper finished, just need to do binding on another lap quilt and finish up a wallhanging, plus a few PC blocks too. I might even have time to do both of these today. I find when it is organized it is easier to work because I *do know* what I have.

Mirabelle...hummm...sounds like your DS has permanently lost his room...something about Mom setting up her "new" sewing room. No turning back, huh? That's a very good plan. You should have another week to get everything stashed and more out of sight. Have fun. BTY...I love your latest blocks.
Everyone else, I've been lurking but not commenting even though I've enjoyed seeing the blocks you've postd. I have mine done and will try to post them today.

Here's what's been happening in this part of the world ....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2he3gF5uSM
And I think many of the rest of you have the same!!
So, as a result, I have been away from the computer a lot as my office is the hottest room in my non-a/c home! The good news is that my sewing room is in the walk out basement, so lots of light, and nice and cool. Sadly, no PC, as I've been trying to get Monty the Mountie finished for Canada Day. Being that is today, I might get it done just in time ... if not, for tomorrow, being that it's the Stat Holiday!
Glad to see that many are enjoying their USA fabrics via Canada! And am excited to see the interest in representing all countries in our quilts. I'll look forward to seeing how everyone chooses to honour each!
JanRN ... great combo of the fabrics ... it really makes the friendship star pop out. John's Fav is mine too ... great FC to show those birdies. When you do your quilting, do you mark your lines on first? or just go at it? Nice quilting!
MiraB ... glad the move is over. Now you can get serious on your move into your new room! It'll be exciting to start fresh with your sewing room, and organize accordingly. And think of all the things you are finding!! More projects, right? Good plan, one hr sewing, one sorting! And a pretty pale blue block you have made. Your July 4th block really epitomizes the USA!
OKSGlad ... YIKES! for the Grands comments ... you'll have to give them a lesson on diplomacy!!
DDamsel .. as always yours look so delicate. I think some lace would work in nicely with your quilt. Borders?
