That's a good name for it too. I got the pattern and the name off of the quilters cache website. I saw the cat tails one too. So cool! Thanks for the comments all of you.

What a cool block! I've been collecting black/white fabric for a couple of years, and have tons of it, but haven't figured out what sort of pattern to use them on. I was going to ask on here if anyone had any suggestions. I like how the MonkeyWrench shows off the contrast. What will the completed quilt look like?
