    ??? I'm confused, it looks like you do have a dark-to-light progression. From what I can see on the right side, your original paper pattern is spinning the opposite of the 8-point star you finished. Could that be why you are thinking you don't?

    I struggle with paper piecing as well but i think yours looks very good..as they say practice, practice, practice..there are just so many things i want to practice but i think i need to start with time management.lol

    I think it looks good. Can't imagine where you think you messed up. At least you have the guts to just jump right in there. I am still procrastinating.

    Oh thank you, thank you - Back to Back- how easy is that to remember? Now I might be able to get through without having to un-sew - haha!

    I don't consider them scew-ups. They are hotpads. I have some pieces I didn't scale right, but they look great in the kitchen!
