How do you corral a wandering foot pedal?

Double back tape...I'm just a tape girl...use it for everything...double back, duct, masking, painters, you name it..I use it.. Because of bad ankles I turned my pedal backwards and put a 2x4 to rest my foot on...gives me greater control on speed too. Think maybe aging makes us look for more ways to adapt to our ever changing bodies...

I have a piece of wood, approx 8 x 6 inches to which I have glue shelf liner (that rubbery textured kind) on both sides, It keeps the wood from traveling around the floor and keeps my foot pedal in place as I sew. Additionally, it raises the foot pedal up just about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, which prevents my accidentally stepping on it before I am ready to sew.

I bought a neez-ez from Nancy's Notions. It's not quite big enough for my Bernina foot pedal but it's great for the smaller Singer pedals.
