They are called GBC or Plastic Comb binding, if anyone wants to know what to ask for at the office supply store. I went to our Staples to find them and they only had them in boxes of 25, I asked the guy at the printing desk(they bind things too) and asked if I could buy a couple off of him and he just gave me two of them. They're black, but I can live with that.

After I read this article I had to try it and am so glad I did as it works so great especially in my go to bag I keep in my purse . I am working on a GFG and use various colors of thread depending on what color hexi I am working on and instead of carrying spools of thread I use bobbins and this idea works so great. I went to a day quilt retreat yesterday and shared this with a other quilters and left a strip of binding spiral for them to try. No more pony tail holders for me, they are fine for spools of thread but I did not find them to work well on bobbins. Thanks for sharing a great link.

Have you seen the small M&M 's that come in a small tube. They hold about 8 to 10 bobbins after you eat the M&M's, the cost is a little over a dollar, or you can buy tubes like that for $3 something and no goodies come with them.
