I think a black sashing around the wonderful penquins blocks would set it off nicely.

The penguins in bathing suits should be the focal point they are so cute...maybe subtler blocks in between them?

I would put fusible on the back of the snowflakes and just fuse them onto the quilt top. Then, you can sew around the edges and not have to turn under and applique every little arm of the snowflake. Just a thought.

I love the idea. Can you find snowy penguins that are the same size as your sunny penguins? That would be perfect!
