    I like the thinner one - it sets off the focus fabrics. I like your fabric choices.

    I prefer the thinner ones. They "frame" the fabric in the large squares. To me the wider strips compete too much with the fabric in the large squares, reducing their impact.

    I will say that at first glance I liked the wider strips. However, after looking several times and coming back to it, I realized that the thinner strips would make the quilt more interesting "balanced" for me -- because of the framing effect.

    They are both really pretty but I personally like the thinner one because it shows off your focus fabric much better than the wider one....JMHO.

    I like the thinner, the small 4 patch looks more intricate and I think the smaller strips better highlight the blocks. It looks like finer work.

    Both look great, but I am with the group voting for the wider stripes. Go with whatever your heart desires though. The print with the layout is perfect either way. Enjoy the process.
