    You must have a good teacher, and the knack to get such a good result on the first lesson. Good luck with your new hobby it's great fun.

    I do not know how to "un knit" yet! I get lost with the loops.. but will def find out in the next class!

    I learned to knit at 7 years old, knit a sweater at 8 (hmmm...that's 62 years) still love to knit. Have knit Christmas Stockings with Santa's on them for everyone in my family and some close friends grands too. Am working on #36 for new great nephew at the moment. Love, love, love to knit. And am fast beginning to love quilting too

    Your practice piece looks very nice... much better than most of the people I have taught to knit. Don't wait too long to learn the purl stitch.

    I'm also on Knitting Paradise. The man who started this board sold it, and then started Knitting Paradise. He is the Admin. there... Konstantin. You'll recognize the format when you get there!

    Keep practicing and then look for a class on how to fix your mistakes. There are lots of remedies, and they are best taught in person. Perhaps the person teaching you now might offer to teach you how to fix mistakes.
