Kitchen cart for cutting area

This is one subject I always keep an eye on. My main thing is, do you fit comfortably alongside that setup with all the drawers. If there is no overhang I can't imagine having my knees comfortable if right against the setup. Am I being silly?

I bought the one from JoAnns a few years back but had to remove the side unit because the screw holes were not properly placed and the wood split when attempting to attach to the main unit. This item was poorly made. I did keep the main larger section, but even that one was a disappointment. The drawers are very shallow (plenty of room behind them) and not of much use. I didn't return it because I would have had to dismantle the entire unit and try to get the pieces back into the original box. Just using the top area, which is a nice size, but I was still left to find a space for my serger which I had planned to keep on the side unit.

Go to Kmart or Walmart- buy those 6 cube or 9 cube storage units, depending on size of room, put them on wheels, there are pictures on here under mission organization of how members put them together and added a larger top & wheels to move around. Just added one of the kitchen islands with wheels to my sewing room last week. Took my son over 4 hours to put it together. Got it from Bed Bath and Beyond with a coupon worth $60.00 off, so I was pleased. Very sturdy and has the locking wheels and the flip up top if needed. My special ironing board I use for quilts can be placed right on the top when needed. I plan on loving it. And I'm going to roll it over to my quilting area to support the quilts if I'm doing some free motion quilting. Sure helps with storage and organization too.
