I used Best Press but in an effort to spend more on fabric and less on Best Press...I mix Sta-Flo and water and use a spray bottle. Works well for me!

Just wondering if the Best Press gets the fabric stiff like starch?

I like it to..... but only the lavender scent love it......now that being said however I don't use to startch by fabric I find you have to spray a lot to get a good stiffness and it is pricey I love it on my clothes and I also iron my pillow cases with mmmm!just love that lavender scent when I go to bed at nite

I also dilute mine, 50-50 and finds it works as well as full strength. Love this product and wouldn't quilt without it.

I make my own spray that works just as well and saves $$$. I think it was on this blog that I found this recipe: 2 cups of distilled water, 2 ounces of vodka (cheap brands work okay), 8-10 drops of essential oil (I like lavender); shake well before using. I colored mine with a teensy bit of food coloring (blue & red = lavender/purple). The principle being the vodka helps get wrinkles out of fabric and gives it a slight crisp feel. Pour into your spray bottle. Double the recipe and keep it in a jar or quart container.

It only takes 2 oz. of vodka. I don't drink alcohol either, so sometimes just buy the little 2 oz travel sizes!

Never tried it but now I will look for a sale at JoAnn's and get me some if it's that good.
