Sushi, don't be afraid of machine embroidery! It's so much fun and aside from placement and changing colors, the machine does all the work! LOL. I've done quite a few projects; some I've sold and some have been gifts. I've attached two of them for you to see. The puppies were an order and I added the dec stitching on the bottom and the bib was in a set as a gift. Give it a try! I think you will love it!

I don't have any New Year's resolutions either, but I'd be happy to encourage all of you to keep yours! LOL. I'd settle for a healthy year!

Get Healthier. Get Caught Up. Relax more. These things always seem to work against each other, so hopefully I can get it balanced

[QUOTE=ManiacQuilter2;6457427]NONE !! TOO OLD to make any new year resolutions. GOOD luck with getting more aquatinted with EQ7. I love my EQ5. Be sure to download the monthly fabrics from their website. They update your EQ fabric library with current fabric !! And you can vote to choose next month's fabrics !![/QUOTE
I have EQ7 and didn't know I could download current fabric. How do you do it?

My New Year's Resolution has been the same for the past 5 years. I have never failed. It is this: " I can only stop by Krispy Kreme Doughnuts when the sign is flashing, Hot Doughnuts Now."

Lovequilting 22, I too should try my embroidery unit on my machine. Only used it once since I bought the machine 6 years ago. I just love quilting and don't take my machine apart for anything else (like embroidery)! But, I have bought a new 'portable machine' that cancels my inability to try embroidery!
Other than that resolution, I 'won't buy fabric' but to finish UFO's. My to-do list may exceed 365 days of quilting!
If I can only keep these resolutions!

Don't normally make New year's resolutions. But am going to try to get more sewing and quilting done. Try to cut way back my time on computer to 25-30% of what I spend now.

Well, my new year's resolutions involve getting into my desired program in school, getting good grades for the year, and hopefully not going totally crazy in the process. I'd also like to use my embroidery machine now that I have thread for it, and finish quilting the tops I have finished and sew up a few tops I have cut out. It's not a lot, but with everything else going on I think it'd take a miracle to get just that much done.

My #1 goal for 2014 is to make a quilt for ME! I want to make a large lap quilt that I can use to cuddle up in on the couch and watch tv! I have made one for each of my kids now, each of the grandkids (almost, still finishing one for Christmas), my sister, husband's sister and have not done anything for me. I have the fabric. My secret santa from last year gave me some beautiful yardage and I have been saving that for me. That's my goal!

Prettiest Dear Jane I've seen! Your Christmas theme is wonderful. I clicked on several of the "Christmas Trees" and can hardly wait to see your quilt when it is finished.
