Welcome from the Gulf of Mexico in Corpus Christi. Just remember mom when you quilt.

Welcome from a hot Australian summer. You have found the right place to start your journey. Perhaps a quilting class starting with some smaller projects and simpler quilts also a kit is a great way to get in the swing and in no time at all you will be the 4th generation quilter in your family.

Welcome from OHIO! There are lots of helpful videos on youtube, or you could find a quilt guild near you. Ask around...there are lots of quilters out there.

Welcome to the board from sunny Nevada! I like to introduce new quilters to the Quilter's Academy; a Skillbuilding Course in Quiltmaking. It's by Harriet Hargraves and her daughter, Carrie Hargraves. There are 4 volumes, a lot of practice work, but if you do it from beginning to end, you will be an awesome quilter! I found it on Amazon, Albris and eBay. You might check your library to see if you can get Volume I: Freshman year, and try that out to see if you like the style of learning.
