I've never understood why men go to the fabric store. I see them napping in their cars in the parking lot. In one LQS there is an area with chairs, tables, newspapers, and a tv tuned to a sports channel, and there's usually 2 or 3 husbands parked there. Do they just need to get out of the house? My husband has been with me once or twice when I've made an unplanned stop at a quilt shop, and he drove me absolutely nuts.

Not my Husband, I only go shopping with him at Home Depot or Lowes, then only if I need to pick out something for home improvements. When I buy anything I prefer him to not be with me. This makes both of us happy.

I try to leave DH at home. He walks around calling out to me "look at this, look at that". He also thinks that if I try to buy one yard, that I should buy two.. If one spool of thread is good, 15 spools is great... He's a sweetie, but drives me nuts in the LQS.
