All you ladies are so fun! Great ideas all, especially taking a big car. Unfortunately I'll have to make do with my Mini Cooper. I'm going up to M&L tomorrow. My teenager is going with me (driving practice, plus he's going to WonderCon and Disneyland over the weekend). I told him to make sure he has his laptop and charger with him and he could go in and find an out-of-the-way plug to amuse himself while I shop. He said, "How long are you planning on being there?" He got 'the look' then said, "Oh never mind, I don't know what I was thinking!"

If the prices were very good, then yards of Kona and Bella solids in my go-to black and white. Otherwise, fabric lines I love but can't find locally.

I have fallen in love with batiks. Last time I went to our local store, I spent the ENTIRE time in the batiks and saw nothing else.

M & L! You could be there all day just going through their flat folds. It's fabric paradise. I always stop there when visiting DD and take an empty bag for the flight home. You're in for a treat.

I thought it was pretend? So much fun to think of the limitless budget. But whree is M&L, it is something I am not familiar with and sounds like it should be on my map in case I'm in the area.

Generally, I go for batiks. After that, whatever speaks to me like tonals, animal themed prints, some backing fabric, and lately, I have been getting some "boy" prints to use for pillowcases.

I would take my list of needed fabrics and swatches with me to check on finding those first. Then I would look at the trending fabrics of that area. I always enjoy seeing what is being made in another city/state. Then, say maybe a favorite class pattern or ruler that is being offered? I might not get to take the class, but, often they will sell you all of the materials to make it at home.

I just bought the numbered flower head pins that I had to get from out of town and the spicy spiral pattern. I checked at all of the stores around here and they didn't carry it. So, you see what I mean? Not all places have the same patterns and projects. It is fun and sometimes rewarding to get something everyone else doesn't have.

I'm changing my answer! I'm getting at least one bolt of every Kona solid, all 264 of them! And renting a big semi to bring it back
