Beautiful Quilt! I love the background fabric. The baskets were a perfect block for the floral. Great job! I am sorry to hear of your troubles and your loss, hopefully things will straighten themselves out soon.

Beautiful quilt, really beautiful. Sorry your mom didn't appreciate it, but at least you weren't totally surprised. Sounds like your MIL was a very sweet lady. As for the the "things", grateful you weren't hurt, but it is an aggravation for sure when you are dealing with death and company and other stuff.

Your quilt is beautuful, good for you persevering, I'm sure you learned a ton doing it and you should be quite proud. I'm sorry mom was rude, I'll never understand why people think its ok for oldies to be rude, even though you expected it it stings. You are a better person than I am I may have told her that I would take it back and give it to someone who would appreciate it and buy her one from big lots. Hopefully your next quilt will go smoother.

Your quilt is beautiful! I know how you feel- when it rains, it pours! Your mom is probably a lot happier than she claims, and proud, too. I have found with my parents, and with the elderly in general, that as the mind begins to deteriorate, they become more critical of everything. Mine are still at a point where I can gently correct them on their harshness, but sometimes you just have to let it go. Know that we all love your work here and that we were all rookies once!
