    Great way you assembled your blocks in varying positions. Gives it real interest instead of ho-hum, especially with your little add-ons.

    Thank you for all the nice comments. I am really pleased at how it dresses up the stair area. All the fabrics were scraps or leftovers from other projects, or fabric from my small (compared to many!) stash. When I am recovered from this project, I think I'll make another house quilt. I see so many cute ones when I Google them.

    Tess and others, I never thought of adding holiday shapes at various times of the year. The stores do have a lot of cute buttons now. I like that idea! I think I need a U.S. flag somewhere on it.
