In reply to the fabric boxes. Last year I made the square tissue boxes from 15 inch squares. Cut off the inside flaps, put those together into a square (points to the center) and zigzagged them together. Makes a great mug rug(square) which turned out to be a 7 1/2 inch square. I French seamed the corners at 7 1/2 in tall. Plan to make more for my quilt bazaar coming up Nov. 22. Have fun with them! I made a smaller size (13 inch to start with and keep misc. items in it. Also have one smaller yet and keep cards of buttons in it. Make a pattern of various sizes of paper, helps too. Marilyn Grubbs of Covington, Ga.

Christmas ornaments are popular this year! I made the folded Christmas tree napkin much smaller, decorated it on top with a cute pin-on or a snow flake, whatever you like, bells, metallic thread on edges of the tree itself. I started with anywhere from 5 1/2 inch circles, (single layer) fold in half, stitch, turn, top stitch edges, fold into tree shape and add a hanging cord. So quick and easy! Also made the double layer of fabric, (contrasting for one side), fold in half, bring ends together, plus fold again and bring other two ends together. secure, flip into a flower shape of contrast, real cute.
