Thanks to all of you for your warm and encouraging words. I went to a quilt meeting last night and won the door prize of an adorable preprinted quilt top entitled, The Sisterhood of Quilters", so now I have a "must-do" project since everybody in the group was dying to win it!!! Guess my collection of fabrics will be further set back until this is finished!!!

Hello and welcome....Hmm don't think there's anyone here who is a "minimalist" in the fabric gathering department. There is however a magical inspiration that comes over you after visiting this site....anyway, have to dash...the ironing pile can wait....got to get to my machine....

The gals in the Monday night meeting gather each week to make Linus quilts, and they seem to have a lot of easy patterns. I'm going to try and wade thru their stuff and see if I can find something eye-catching. I do like the Snowball quilt that was recommended and may give that one a try. I'm also toying with the idea of cutting big squares and using the embroidery part of my sewing machine to enhance the squares. Only bad things is that my materials are very bright (oranges, purples, etc) so perhaps that's a project for plain fabric like muslin or sheeting! I'm thinking it's just as hard to come up with a pattern as it is to sew the thing together!!!!
