Is yours the Boat Shuttle or Bullet shuttle version? On Needlebar Picture Gallery, they refer to the bullet shuttle version as Model A type 1, though sometimes what Needlebar has on that site is their internally developed naming system.

    Cathy,

Bullet shaped shuttle. According to the page SteveH posted that fits with the NewHome New Model version.

I found a manual for the bullet shuttle model- unfortunately the seller wants way, way too much money than I can justify for it.

mine has serial number 883220 (provided the slide is original)

From previous discussion, I think Farmhousesewer has the older (boat shuttle) version.

In the overall scheme of things our two machines aren't too far apart serial number wise.

I took a quick look at the Smithsonian manual SteveH posted the link to and looks pretty close. I haven't really read it because I want to print it first. Then read it. Easier on my eyes than the monitor.

Unfortunately I don't have enough ink in the printer.

I agree, some people just want way too much for their manuals.

    Both mine are bullet shuttles.

I thought they were Model A Type-1 also and did not have a shuttle but 2 bobbins for first head.Carrier definitely not boat.
