Retirement takes adjustment. Find a local quilt club. You will learn so much and make some great friends. Lots of them do charity work. I retired 5 years ago - I don't have time for a job anymore. There are not enough hours in the day for me. Congrats on retirement. You are entering a whole new phase of life. Find volunteer opportunities - you will be glad that you did.

I still nice NYC - Brooklyn, but I live in South Jersey now in a 55+ community. LOVE IT!!!!

How wonderful that you both could meet and enjoy your time together. What a sweet gift. Quilters are the best!

Welcome from Missouri. Lynnie is a fun and very talented lady. I bet ya all had a great time. Wish I could have met with you two. Oh, and pretty fabric too.

Yes, great fun to have online quilting buddies and also time to simply share with a friend over a meal. Good deal!

I'm wondering the same thing. What's the gift? Lynnie is always making and giving gifts. Lucky you! New friendships are so nice.

Thanks Feline, I went to school at RPI, so I remember the albany area fondly!

It's a little takealong cylindrical pouch to put a spool of thread, a small scissors, some pins and needles in, and maybe some hexies for EPP, so that you can be doing your handiwork on the go.

Lynnie is always coming up with really neat projects. She is a very productive quilter. When I moved out from my previous home, I met a lot of quilting ladies by attending a quilters get together at the senior center in the town that I now live in.
