    Fun, easy and manly if you use manly fabrics/colors: The Double Slice Layer Cake Quilt. If you don't have a layer cake, cut your own assortment of 10" squares. I've made several of these, and they always turn out great.

    I think just about any pattern will work as long as it's not flowery. I think it's the fabric that matters.

    I made both of my grandsons graduation quilt of stars. Really can't go wrong with stars (no girly colors or blocks, don't ya know). But made 1 for #1 grandaughter & 4 grandaughters to go with girly blocks & colors...

    A black and white quilt have always been the men's favorites of my quilts. I usually add one color. Like turquoise, yellow or coral. It just adds a little something. This one is a disappearing nine patch set with a square in a square. Very easy.

    Although my brother in law loved one that was a dark dusky purple one that had earthy fabrics in it.
