    My goodness! After 20 years of frustration at not being able to keep my ruler from slipping, I see a tip so simple, it makes me slap my forehead. I currently use little sandpaper discs, and still have to fight every time I cut.

    I usually buy the round jar openers made of this. One, I keep in my sewing room, cut 2 inch piece, great for pulling the needle through thick fabric.

    I use Invisi grip on the back of my rulers so they don't slip, wouldn't that work for this also? Especially if you did have registration marks to follow.
