Beautiful. I wouldn't even attempt a quilt like that.

Quilts like this one are truly beautiful and amazing. Never in a million years could I do something as beautiful as this. Is this your quilt or one for a customer?

Harriet, your quilts are those that I can never think of the appropriate adjective to attached to my comment. I'll just say Magnificent!

Harriett, So glad you posted this because, like you, I don't think I could ever bring myself to quilt an E2E on a JN quilt, or at least one of the more elaborate ones like this. I would have to decline the job and send it elsewhere.

Same with doing an all over on any appliqued quilt. I realize that a person's budget can't always allow for custom even in cases where you as the LAQ, know the quilt deserves it and won't shine to its full potential without it.
While this gorgeous elaborate piecing would certainly benefit from a thoughtful and well executed custom treatment your pictures are a wonderful example that the quilt will still look good even with a more affordable E2E.

I think this was a terrific choice for this quilt. The piecing is so involved, the over-all quilting pattern really lets the quilt shine. As others have said, you do beautiful work.
