I finally caved and bought a really nice micro-fiber comforter for my bedroom. I love how soft and warm it is.

I had planned on making a quilt, but with a king-sized bed, the dh, cats, and kids climb and roll around on it all the time,so I figure I will wait awhile. I don't want to put countless hours into putting the quilt together, only to have it messed up when the kids sneak up to jump on the bed or dh decides to wrestle with the kids, or one of the cats thinks something is moving under the covers and puts a hole in it with claws.

No one in my house sleeps under store bought. They all have a number of quilts. I love it.

    Guilty, as charged
I have a store bought bedspread.
However, I do have a hand-made quilt my MIL made that we sleep under, and I do have my IRR completed on my bed.

But -- I have not made a queen size for us, me and dh.

Time to take care of me, I guess.

I, too, sleep under a store-bought quilt. I made a Carpenter's Star that I didn't like in the end. Suggestions from this board were to remove the borders and replace them with something else. Guess what? It's in my UFO pile and I can't seem to get motivated to take the old borders off and replace them. Some day.....

Hey looks like I'm not alone in this! Lots of us seem to put everybody else first, huh?
