Oh that is a stunner, I love red work. I definately think you should enter it into other shows.

The San Diego quilt show is not judged but maybe you could enter it next year as the deadline has passed for this year.
I would love to see it in person.

The dark fabric is a very deep red - almost maroon.

I started by enlarging a Sunbonnet Sue collection from some old Aunt Martha's transfer patterns. Then I went on to draw several block to complete the quilt.
