    Billy, the model # is 148.296. The other # was on the motor. I had to search around to find this one. I tried changing how I had the needle inserted, but no difference. (Before I was threading from the side, now the front) I was so afraid I was going to have one of those V-8 moments where you slap your forehead. I also changed how I had it threaded along with the tension. Thanks again!

    Okay Pam hers what I have so far......you have a model 29 and it was made in 1966-67 by the Jaguar-marzuen company in Japan. These are the same folks that badged the White sewing machines.

    I am going to see if I have the manual for the machine in a PDF format.

    Fantastic find!!! I thought I did good with finding one for $10 in a cabinet, but you sure beat me!!!!

    I have to admit, I was so excited, I kept laughing about this buy for days! The machine runs well, was easy to clean up, and Billy is helping me figure out a problem then kids will be sewing on it next week! The best thing about donating it to the guild is that if I ever need if I can always pick it up and borrow it!
