Does anyone still use...

My son and husband bought me a pair of these things about 2 years ago. They are hanging on my peg board in the sewing room. I will gladly give them away. I think they are just awful for the same reasons already stated. A man must have invented these dreaded things.

I bought electric scissors from Sears many years ago and used them so much. I sewed drapes for Pennys and used them for cutting long seams. I dug them out and used them recently for cutting binding, I drew the line on the fabric and they worked great. I also have a battery operated one I use for clipping coupons out of the newspaper. I should use the electric scissors more, glad you reminded me.
I also have a cordless iron, sold by the West Bend Company years ago. I use it for pressing seams in quilting and keep it handy. Not available any more but mine still works for dry ironing, the steam part went kaput a long time ago.
