    Thank you so much for taking a picture of this owl and sharing it with us. What treat to see it so close. Looks like a barred owl. I am a big fan of all raptors but the owls are special. They are so cool.

    It's a wonder it didn't fly away when you openned the blinds! They get hungry too! I enjoy the birds!

    We have abarred owl hanging out in my yard these days as well...they are soooo beautiful!

    I LOVE that picture....we have owls but I only hear them and honestly....I have to yell to keep them away because my DF used to say that they would take my furbaby off and eat her :( So now I'm afraid to let them get used to getting close up at night. My furbaby is less than 5 pounds so the vet said that depending on the owl, DF could have been right.
