Streps are my favorite. You have a great setup for them.

Hello to you from another Iowan! You have a bright, cheerful room - enjoyed looking at the pictures. Your Avatar is awesome too - as you can see by my Avatar, I love cardinals and snow!

I tried growing them when I lived further south. I think I loved them to much by watering them. Never had any luck. I love the room. Kinda makes you smile when you look.

Fun and cheerful space! My sister in law used to grow violets like crazy. She says you have to "abuse" them - only water once a week, if you remember, and keep them in those south facing windows in Texas. So, little water, lotsa sun. I dilute african violet liquid fertilizer, and give them that in their weekly watering also and I have tons of flowers on one, none on the other! Go figure?

I love your room! I seem to have a brown thumb when it comes to any indoor plants. Course the fact I forget to water regularly might have something to do with it. :P

Oh, love your sewing area and your violets! I love to grow violets too. I have alot of babies that need to be transplanted as we speak. I love your light set up. Did you just hang regular shop lights from the wire shelves? I may have to try that....hoping you will tell me any tricks to getting it right. I could use more space, and that looks like a good set up, and not to expensive. Thanks for sharing your two loves!
