2016 UFO Challenge of the Month
#303
Everyone is doing great on their UFOs for the year. I had some things for a customer to finish up so haven't been able to sew much yet this month. I got the borders and bindings cut yesterday for my first finish of the year (the last block was made on December 31st). Just have to make a couple pillow cases for the customer and then I can work on my own stuff for a while. Maybe by mid February I'll have a finish to share.....

As I mentioned early on this month, I have been waysided by the call for comfort quilts. I have finished the first of those I can happily report, in spite of all old Fred and Arthur's efforts to keep me from it. They are especially cantankerous in these cold winter months. The next two are for kids so won't have to be as big so hopefully I can do one this week and one next week. That leaves me only one more on my current list and praying no new cases come up in the meantime.
I'm posting my finish in pictures as it's not at all a UFO. You all keep up the excellent progress you are making and keep that whistle blowing!!
Janice I so appreciate the job you are doing as I was engineer a couple years ago. It was a fun job and I loved doing it but it does keep you on your toes. Hugs and smiles and thank you for keeping our train rolling this year!!!

Finished this lap/baby quilt. All but binding anyway. I don't have a good color for binding so I'm bringing it to quilt guild next week and off my list. I might be able to find a good color Thursday when I go to machine classes, but I'm also in the fabric moratorium group. I can buy fabric to finish a quilt. Just depends on what I find. I finished a top that I started over two years ago. It is my get back into quilting project after not sewing for quite a while. Hopefully today I will get it sandwiched and start some straight line quilting! So excited to be getting these quilts to the finish line.
