Cheese I had a similar expierence but had to have a friend retrieve the package and take it the post office to have them forward it to me. Frustrating.
Beautiful block for Nelco.

TG -- great blocks for Janice. Your points are so perfect, too.

Terriamn, Your block for Nelco is dazzling and that BOOM quilt quilting is amazing! Your granddaughter is going to love that quilt!! Makes me feel like singing..... Winnie, Winnie, Winnie, Winnie, Winnie the Pooh!

I can't wait for time to start piecing! I brought a load of supplies with me to work on but I may not get to play until this weekend and so back to MS it all goes, lol.

My bubble suit is on and I am taking lots of vitamins to keep me healthy. EmergenC is every morning while I'm feeling like I'm fighting every virus on the planet. Anyone get an achy scalp when fighting off a virus? I feel like every hair follicle is spinning and repositioning. More water! More Lysine! More tape on the bubble suit to keep my illnesses to myself.
The visual on the bubble suit made me laugh. I hope you feel better and don't get worse.

If you haven’t done so, try using two perfectly cut 2-1/2 inch squares and sew them together. The resultant rectangle should measure precisely 2-1/2 by 4-1/2. Too small, decrease your seam allowance. Too big, increase it. And be sure to press (not iron) and then measure with the acrylic square. When you find the sweet spot, make a note and take a pic of where the edge of your fabric must be to give you the correct seam allowance. Try a few more samples and you should be ready to sew.

Hav, I love be my block. It’s wonderful. I’m already getting excited about my blocks for the green and touched of blue!

Ibex, take care of yourself. Hopefully your vitamin C will help knock out the cold.

Terriamn, your Pooh quilt is terrific! Congratulations on a great quilt.

Here’s a block for Hav. All those little chilies!

Made two for SewBiz - did anyone else catch the fact that there was 12 inebriated men? I found material with golden rings to add to them.
Lstew - had just enough of this fabric - and it has a quilting Mrs Clause.
I love my Christmas block, it is perfect. Thank you.

Thank you for my blocks, TG and Terri! I just love them. No, I didn't really focus on the inebriated men. Just love the Rockwell artwork. Thank you all for making such pretty blocks to frame the Rockwell people.

All the blocks posted have been wonderful!

Looking at block parterns today on Etsy and decided I was not paying $5-$6 dollars a pattern. I pulled out my laptop, started up EQ8 and made paper piecing patterns for some Christmas blocks. These two are for Cheesehead. Noticed my tree is a bit crooked but so is my real tree each year.

I was going through the fabric and reading requests. Got to Janice's blue fabric and had a good laugh. Ignore directional fabric. No-can-do. I wish I could.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all.

Hav, I can see how the pattern $ could add up. Our tree always leans too, even our little tabletop tree. cute blocks. As for the directional fabric, if you can’t ignore it, go for it. I didn’t realize it was directional until I started working with it. I just loved the blue and white.

Great blocks, Hav and Janice! I've been pondering what to do with the block print.... Love the star with the little wrapped package in it.

Off early this morning, to take hubby to an dr. appt. Hope everyone has a good day. Ibex, hope you are feeling better!

Great blocks HAV and Janice. Wish I was more computer literate to be able to use quilting software.

Wow it’s 44 here this morning.

Thanks for the block print squares. It’s challenging and you’ve done a great job with them. Don’t hesitate to cut the block and only use part of it if you like!

Started my first block yesterday and made lots of mistakes! Almost didn’t have enough fabric. I’m rusty.

I just kept assuming it wasn’t the seam but it was. It wasn’t the pattern. It wasn’t until I slowed down, focused more and benefited from better lighting that I could make everything work out. I’m still going slower but working on more challenging blocks again and they’re as close to 12-1/2 inches as they’ve ever been. What a relief. So it’s not just you!
I've been frustrated lately. All these years of quilting and I feel like I'm going backward sometimes! It's like "what the H"???
But yesterday I got a perfect 12.5 block. So now I'm not feeling so deficient
