Billswife--There is really only one way to save that quilt ..... send it to me!!

I love it as is and think it would look really sharp with a black border. I might play with it a little more to move more lights to the middle, but I personally wouldn't add cubes. But we all have our own personal preference!!

    Cheers!

Jenell, I think it's gorgeous. I like bright and cheery, your binding border could be a bit of the purple and then the black, or all black will bring out a lot of the orange and reds. I think it's beautiful and would love it on my sofa...just a thought.

    Hugs

I think I would want the lights in the center with darker ones around them. Just my opinion. Beautiful fabric and the colors are great.

Bills wife, I like it! it feels like fall already looking at that top :D
I thought green initialy, it would soften a purple or black border. :D

I love that orange OBW!! I think it's coming along fantastically! I love the idea of a dark border. I'd stare at the photo and move some blocks around. It's easier to do when you are looking at a photo than the real life one, at least it was for me!

Taking a picture with a digital camera and looking at it on the camera's screen is a a really good way to see how it will turn out.

Ooooo that is gorgeous!!! I love the "fire from within" look :D:D:D Such a vibrant and warm look :D:D:D
All of the suggestions are awesome...I lean towards the cube blocks and some of the hexs spilling into the border...:D:D:D
I can't wait to see what you decide to do!!!

Don't know if you all remember my first attempt and hated the result. Well, I kept it on the wall for a couple of weeks, moved blocks around and still did not like it. Figured life is too short to play with something you are not enjoying so...........cut out another and I love it. What do you guys think? I still need to play around with some of the blocks but this one is fun. It will be for my son for his birthday. Thanks for looking,

I like the way the cubes draw your eyes around the quilt!
