That is some wild fabric. I love it! It will make great pincushions.
When I first looked at it I thought it was a floral, that's why I pulled it off the rack LOL!

When I first started quilting I got two Judy Martin books w/all kinds of quilt block w/great names - Connecticut Yankee, Daddy's Little Girl, etc. I had made a list of block names that all applied to me - with the eventual plan of making a personal sampler quilt. Like many of my planned projects for myself - it got pushed aside in favor of quilts I was making for other people. I just found the list stuck inside another quilt book, a few days ago when straightening out my sewing room. I think this may be a perfect way to start with this challenge. If I lose too much weight I can always move on to other projects! Thank you ladies for the inspiration!

As soon as I get some more solid colors to match the fabric I have I will make more.

I have a lot to lose also. So I'm making 4" blocks. It will take a LOT of those to make a quilt!

Please post along the way so we can cheer on your progress. It's not a race; it's a process!

I just realized I need something to store my blocks in. What to do. Last thing I need is another storage container, LOL.
