I remember thinking, when I was preschooler, that snow was like vanilla ice cream and how lucky people were that had ice cream fall from heaven like the manna from heaven in the (flannel board) stories on Sundays

Yes, we have now got another 4 inches over the 4 feet we have so far. And it is snowing again. Its little flakes, so will take longer to build. Okay so I might have stretched the truth a little, it seems like 4 feet, but it did settle yesterday in the warmer day, think it got to 30 degrees, so we might have around 3. I totally agree, enough already, this is definitely not funny or a joke any more. Can't even laugh about it. I totally agree with you.

Finished clue #2. this was a lot of fun. Church was cancelled yesterday so I worked on these in the morning. The wind has really started blowing now. The ice is melting and breaking off the trees and stuff. It's blowing against the house and windows and cats are so skittish right now. They keep running from room to room to get away from the big bad ice wind monster outside.

I can't decide whether to make the triangles super random or at least "coordinated" random. My triangles are true scraps from my MIL fabric I inherited. Most are not anything I'd ever buy. I may wait for the next clue to sew the last seam together, unless Judy wants to weigh in. <script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/7de6c67b/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/7de6c67b/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>

I about went nuts trying to be really scrappy with the HST ..... much more difficult for me to lay them out and keep from having "this-one-touch-that-one" I gave up and did controlled scrappy and like the look of the HST 'bows'. Love this pattern and will probably make it again (several times) and the next time I will try to have it really really scrappy even if it means making extra HST and setting aside some for a different quilt.

I'm so happy to hear that I'm not the only one with this.. I'm still going thru scraps to figure out what to use...

I feel so bad for all of you who are dealing with the snow & ice. I grow up in NE Ohio & understand lake effect snow piling up. We moved to the Atlanta area to get away from that but found it was still not warm enough. So here we are in Mount Dora FL, loving the warmer weather but wouldn't ya know we had a hard freeze last week that just about killed everything? You can't win some days
