I like the name of this one... Electro Hygiene... I bet is is a good one.
Electro Hygiene must have had some reach - from what I can tell there was a vacuum cleaner co with that name, too.
I have an Electro Hygiene that looks like a Singer 128 - kind of a cute little black machine - well made.

Now I know I will be in trouble with you all here, I had a Brother Pacesetter of the plastic and computer style circa 2000 or so. Love that machine of mine, and if this is it's ancestor I would be one it in a heartbeat! Helps that its so cute.

Bye the way, I sewed onmy pacesetter it till just this past spring. The shop I deal with couldn't believe that it lasted all that time. With the new ones 5 years is considered a life span.

I comes with shuttle and bobbin. I could drive to pick it up. I have a Free #5 and they look quite close to each other in type.

It's one of those ones where I would go and see it, take a screwdriver and a comfortable amount of cash and start to find all the usual dirt, lint, threads and stuff that would be expected and wear a very concerned look on my face throughout.
Good idea. I found one on a blog:
    http://susannaryan.blogspot.com/2010...-pun-here.html
It has a straight stitch plate and foot. Check out the bottle of oil -- it looks like a perfume bottle.

""Robert's Rebuilt Singer Machine" (a previous owner has attempted to obscure the first two words)" ??

I think the cabinet is similar to one Macybaby is looking for, except missing the appliqué?
