This is a sad story: When I first started work, I bought a Fetherweight, had it a long time - well into my married years, made loads of little girl clothes, and doll clothes. I yearned for a machine that would zig-zag. At one time I bought a sewing machine table at an Antique store, got it home and it had an old Singer in it, and it worked. Doing so much mending for my husband and son, I wanted that Zig-Zag machine! I finally decided to trade in my 2 machines toward the new one. What a dummy I was!!!! I think I got $10 or one and $15 for the other. I still have my Zig-Zag Singer, but wish I had held on to the Fetherweight - looked just like the one pictured! Boo hoo.
