RE Table ironing board. For years I have used a small portable ironing board set on top of my waste basket when needed',it works fine and then I just need to store the board till I need it again. It fits in nice and snug so I don't have to worry about it tipping over. Just thought I would share, of course it isn't as cute as the one featured here,

I bought a two-tray set at an auction Sat. for just this purpose. I just put one of my June Tailor boards on it, ironing padded on one side and cutting board on the other.

I picked up a $2.00 folding tray table at the thrift store and upholstered it with batting and leftover outdoor fabric. I don't use it for ironing - I keep it in my living room as a small worktable for current hand or applique projects then fold it up and put behind couch when I don't have anything to work on in the living room. I put two dowels on it to hang things and some hooks. Works awesome!

I did the same thing, and I LOVE it! It's great to set it next to the machine where you can just turn and press and just keep on going! I already had the little table. However, I didn't cover the table top, but had another board about the same size, and covered it for ironing. The neat thing is that the table folds up flat and can be tucked out of the way when not in use.
