Beautiful quilt! Interesting enough, I’m planning an Album quilt for my mom, who is going to be 80 next year. I’m living in France and she is in Argentina, so gathering signatures and old family pictures won’t be easy, but I have already some pictures and I’ll ask for help from my brother and friends.

    Thank you for sharing!

Rather than use the floor you need to make yourself a Design wall. I made mine myself. 1-1/2 Foam insulation from Home depot. Spray glued white flannel on front. Of course extremely light weight, free standing, easy to move. I cut mine in half and then taped the back so it folds even smaller.

Why did you put flannel on it? And what kind of spray glue do you use when sandwiching your quilts together on it? I had my dh make me one but we did not flannel it and we don't know what kind of spray glue to use that wont hurt the insulation...

OK, I put flannel on it so when I finish small square blocks I can just lay them on and they stick as I build the quilt. However once I start sewing the squares together into strips, I do use pins and thats when I love the styrafoam. To adhere the flannel to the styro I used 3M Super 77 which is a permanent spray. I also cut the 4 foot wide panels in half and then used duct tape on back for hindges.

I like the Dritz temp spray for sandwiching my quilts

    Hugs Joyce
