I would like to add a funny here; the leg broke on a hubbys' chair -an overstuffed type chair - and instead of throwing out the wornout old chair he went out to the shop- cut himself a piece of 4x4 and stuck it under the chair and it worked for him - looked hideous - and his wife was far from happy anyway, wanting new furniture - 30 years with the same furniture they'd started with - raising a family of 4 kids! Finally a girlfriend of the wife's stopped by adn got her belly laugh and together the two ladies threw the chair out on the lawn! To go to teh burn pile - and would you believe he then set it on the patio with the 4x4 leg under it -and even though it got soaked in rain, he still sat in it till one day the youngest son said "Dad, it's time to retire that chair" - and the look on his dad's face was one of awe! Well, Father's Day was coming so he wound up with the first piece of good furniture - a new recliner and has loved it ever since... and new furniture followed shortly.

For a real custom look, get four tennis or doggie balls, cut an 'X' into each one and insert the chair legs. No noise, no scratching, no dents in the carpet. Worked in kindergarten ought to work for husband.

Tennis balls, tell him to put a slit in 4 tennis balls and slide them on the feet of his chair. They can replace the medicine bottles and even be a little more decorative that those old medicine bottles. Good Luck.......Men, Can't Live With and We Can't Live Without Them, lol.....

If you don't want him to use that particular chair - go buy him a new one as close to it as possible with the new rubber tips on it. He was really creative, seems like that must be his favorite chair!!

Oh I just love it. I'm afraid to show it to my husband - it might give him ideas!

What a guy! He deserves the chair. (Not the electric chair - HIS chair!)
