Have a great time. Our guild has one every year and it is a blast. I eat too much, sew until I'm exhausted, and laugh a stuff until I cry. They are a blast!!!

My quilting friends and I have a retreat about once a year. We go to a cabin that's used just for weekend stuff by one of our families and we take our own food and bedding. We stay 2 nights and sew and sew and sew. It's a great time and very low cost. You're right...you get lots done with no interruptions. Hope you can find some way to work out something similar. Retreats need not be high $$. How about someone's home when DH is away for the night? Farm out the kids to relatives or friends for a short time. You could reciprocate. :D

So excited for you. I am at a retreat as I write this! There is a great YWCA camp in Indiana that has quilt retreats several times each year. While most of them are a 3 day weekend, this one begins on Sunday afternoon and lasts until Friday noon. Doesn't get much better than this. No cooking or cleaning, just sewing and laughing. What a great way to spend some of my vacation time.
