For any one doing this pattern for a 12 inch block, be sure you measure after you have printed it out. I made a block using the 12 inch pattern. It maybe because my printer is CHEAP!CHEAP! The one that has the seam allowance. when I printed it out it was 1/8 inch off on the corner piecees. At the end where the fine point is . Allso on these corner pieces I added an extra quarter inch on the sides where your other quarter inch line is. I know this sounds confusing. The block is beatiful. For some reason I cannot get the picture I took small enough to post. The software on this computer will not make my pic. pixils any less. When I figure it out I will post a picture of this block as I made it without adding the extra. and after I added. The rest of the pieces were just perfect. Thanks again for this block I really love it my 2 daughters are going to love it for Christmas.

did you make sure to set page scaling to "none" before you printed?

dont really remember if I did or not. come to think abt. probably didnt. but it is still a good thing to measure any printed out pattern before it is cut. I love the block. I sewed my first curves and they turned out fine. I have always been uneasy about curves but found out as long as the 1/4 is right it isnt to bad. Later today I am going to put my picture software on this laptop. If I can then I can post the Picture. Bonnie

McCalls Quilting ran that pattern in their april 1997 issue, it is called Friendship knott. I have had this earmarked for years to one day make.
