Great idea!!
DOn't mean to pig trail here but I have a large emory file with a plastic handle (dollar store purchase for filing rough heels).
I use this to pick out threads when I have to seam rip. The emory grabs the threads so perfectly.

Good idea...I have been using a nut cracker remover...I guess that is what it's called. Pointed tip

Thanks for this information. I was wondering what to use on those stubborn pieces of thread that stick.
