It might have been a hibiscus bud, I know it was some flower name. I was just given the pattern to trace onto my folded fabric...

We had a woman from Hawaii speak at our Guild meeting and she had a class the following day. I didnt get my name in in time or I would have learned this too. Her name was Nancy something from Pacific Rim Quilting. Her trunk show was amazing.

Nice job. I love Hawaiian quilts - I grew up there but I'm not much for applique and have never tried to hand quilt so I'll just admire yours...

That is just spectacular! When I was in Maui (eons ago), the Marriott we stayed in had these beautiful quilts hung all thru the hotel & it was all the could do to drag me away from them to go see the sights of Maui... LOL! Your version is just beautiful... I love the soft blue. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Others are choosing to make pillows, but I figure, one can never have too many bags (or is that diamonds, or shoes)? Hahaha.

We can never have to to many bags or fabric...can't forget about the fabric!!!!
That is wonderful. I've been eyeing these up but haven't tried it yet. They are just amazing.
