    Well, one border was 1/4" too long - sooooo, I took the border and sewed two of the tiny stripes in the op-art border together. The border finished out the perfect size.

    Both patterns are my own - I've posted a tutorial on the Op-Art. The avatar quilt was drafted to look like an 1830 quilt in the Univ. Neb. Lincoln quilt collection - I worked from a photo (with permission) about 3" square.
