So I called the city this morning and the trash dude said I should call the street dept because they have a "burn trailer" whatever that is. We have to get a burn permit from the fire dept first (for a day when the wind is below 12mph, good luck with that) and the street dept will bring us the burn trailer for free.

But it'll be better than trying to smash them and bag them. I just hope we can get a wind free day before long.

They bite, so be careful, my step father tried to pick one up in El Paso and found out they had stickers all through them, so wear cloves.

Once years ago on the way home from Yuma,AZ, my car was attacked by a giant tumbleweed on I-8. I thought my Dad was gonna kill me for all the scratches on his new car. All he said was, "Close encounter with a killer tumbleweed?" He used to be stationed in El Centro,CA when he was in the Navy, they needed a ham radio operator.

That's amazing! The only tumbleweeds I have are made of basset hound fur and come to think of it they tend to roll up against the front of the couch kind of like the ones in front of your garage...LOL. I don't think they make a Dyson big enough for yours though. I do kind of like the idea of using them as a Christmas tree in the yard.

Wow that really is something. Living in the north east it isn't something I'll probably ever encounter. Husband deer hunts in Little River, KS every couple of years and he talks about the outrageous, never-ending wind.
