I like the block. Kind of reminds me of a picture puzzle. As for the strips, I go with a plain color. To me it looks to busy. Sorry.

How about a yellow that is in part of the block? Love the blocks, just need different sashing. Good luck and let us see what you do.

I agree. I would not use the sashing.

I confess, sashing has saved more than one project. Love what you've done!

Your amended design is so much prettier! Much clearer to look at. Thanks for the update and enjoy the project!

I also think the sashing is to busy, the blocks are interesting and should be recognized on their own without the sashing taking away or distracting from the blocks. I think white sashing would look great.

I agree with using black for the sashing. I think solid black would cause those prints and the design to pop!

I love love these blocks, they are fantastic. The first sashing was way too busy for me. The second is better, not nearly as busy, I am just not sure about the color. I was thinking about a red sashing...but that might be too much, guess I would have to work with it, and see what I liked best. However the 2nd one is a great improvement and really makes the block stand out now.

Sashing should give the eye a place to rest. I think your blocks are great but the sashing is too busy.
